The RivSmart Control Center allows you to manage your riveters and assign rights for your riveter. If you forget your user password for the app, you can reset or change it here.

Commissioning

Enter your data and check the box. Confirm your input with OK.

You will receive a confirmation e-mail. Click on “Activate now” in the confirmation e-mail. You can now use your RivSmart.

Enter your e-mail address and your password. Click OK.

Hold the “OK” button on your RivSmart depressed for longer than 2 seconds.

Open the app, after the login click “Direct connected”.

Follow the instructions displayed.

In your WiFi settings, select the SSID that is displayed on the RivSmart.

Open the app again and click “Next”.

Follow the instructions displayed. Connect your riveter to the Internet.

Connect your mobile device to the Internet via WiFi or via the mobile data.

Open the app again and click “Connect”.

The app confirms the successful coupling with “Bind successfully”. Now go to your WiFi settings again and connect your mobile device to your RivSmart. Then go back to the app. Have fun with your RivSmart.

Hold the “OK” button on your RivSmart depressed for longer than 2 seconds.

Click “Bind New Tool”.

Follow the instructions displayed and click OK.

In your WiFi settings, select the SSID that is displayed on the RivSmart.

Follow the instructions displayed and click OK.

Connect your mobile device to the Internet via WiFi or via the mobile data.

Follow the instructions displayed and click OK.

In your WiFi settings, select the SSID that is displayed on the RivSmart.

Click OK to connect to your RivSmart. Have fun with your RivSmart!

Installation

Should you not find an e-mail in your inbox, please check whether the e-mail has landed in your spam folder.

Apple iOS:

The app has not yet been classified as trustworthy. Perform the following steps: Settings → General → Device management (very near the bottom) → VVG Befestigungstechnik GmbH & Co. → Trust “VVG Befestigungstechnik GmbH & Co.”

Android:

Settings → Security → Enable “Unknown origin”

After successful app registration, you can use these access data specified here.

Operation

Close the app completely and try again.

Change the lighting duration of the LED on the RivSmart in the RivSmart app.

During a permanent link between the RivSmart and app, the RivSmart remains permanently ready for operation.

Service + Repairs RivSmart

  • Lubricate the clamping sleeve and clean the clamping jaws.
  • The clamping sleeve is not completely screwed on. Please loosen the quick-release mechanism and screw the clamping sleeve further onto the clamping mechanism.
  • The front sleeve and/or mouthpiece are not completely screwed on.
  • Calibrate the riveter. Follow the steps described in the operating manual.
  • Wear of the clamping jaws may necessitate modification of the DMSD settings.
  • Replace the clamping jaws.
  • Should this not improve the situation, please contact us and tell us about your rivet and riveting range. We will find a solution for you.
  • The DMSD data are currently only visible in one specific combination of smartphone/tablet and RivSmart. Please use the same smartphone/tablet with the RivSmart at all times.
  • The data could also have been lost if you have uninstalled the RivSmart app.
  • Service the clamping mechanism.
  • Have maintenance of the riveter carried out by us or by one of our authorised dealers.
RivSmart App

Apps are currently available for Apple iOS and Android.

Under Android, you first have to enable apps of “Unknown origin” in the Android settings.

First delete the old RivSmart app. Go to the Home screen and press the RivSmart app until all the apps start to jiggle, then delete the RivSmart app by pressing the “X” in the top left-hand corner of the RivSmart app. Scan the QR code and install the app again.

Enter your registered e-mail address on the Login page of the RivSmart Control Center and click “Help, I forgot my password”. You will immediately receive an e-mail. In this e-mail, click on the link and enter a new password in the window that then opens.
